Eric V. Grijalva is an associate with Parker, Kern, Nard & Wenzel.  His primary practice is civil litigation.

Mr. Grijalva earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy, with a minor in Communications, at California State University, Fresno.  During his undergraduate studies, Mr. Grijalva was a member of the Forensics Team which allowed him to compete in various public speaking events, earning numerous awards.  He earned his Juris Doctor degree from the Sturm College of Law at the University of Denver.  While attending law school, Mr. Grijalva was awarded the Best Orator Award for outstanding litigation skills during moot court competition.  Mr. Grijalva was also the President of his school’s chapter of Phi Alpha Delta legal fraternity.

During law school Mr. Grijalva represented clients through the school’s Civil Litigation Clinic.  This allowed Mr. Grijalva to assist clients who would otherwise not have access to the legal system.  As part of the Civil Litigation Clinic, Mr. Grijalva was also instrumental in amending the Colorado Wage Claim Act to provide greater access to the legal system for unpaid workers.  This including lobbying state representatives, working at the state capital, testifying before sub-committees, helping others prepare for testifying, and working with the Governor’s legal team.  His experience includes working on catastrophic injury and product liability cases, as well as insurance bad faith claims.  Mr. Grijalva has also litigated contract disputes for both plaintiffs and defendants.

Mr. Grijalva was formerly with the law firm of Perez, Williams, Medina & Rodriguez where he gained valuable experience in all aspects of personal injury litigation, eventually trying cases before juries and becoming a principal litigator for that firm.

Mr. Grijalva is admitted to the State Bar of California and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of California.  He is also a member of the Fresno County Bar Association.

Mr. Grijalva enjoys spending time with his family, hiking, boating, camping, and generally being outdoors.
