Kim Nakagawa is an associate with DCLBV. Her primary focus is workers’ compensation defense. She is also experienced in the practice of bankruptcy law.
Ms. Nakagawa was born and raised in the Central Valley. She received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Interior Design and a minor in Business at California State University Fresno and completed her Juris Doctor at San Joaquin College of Law.
While in law school, she was a Best Brief Semi-Finalist in the George A. Hopper Moot Court Competition and received the Witkin Award for Academic Excellence in tribal sovereign immunity. During her last year of law school Ms. Nakagawa served as the Student Bar Association’s Secretary, and was named Student of the Year by her peers.
Among other things, Ms. Nakagawa enjoys playing basketball, traveling, hot air ballooning, and spending time with her family and friends.
Ms. Nakagawa is a member of the State Bar of California.
